Police briefs 10/11/00

A 22-year-old female student filed a harassment charge with MSU police after she found fecal matter outside her East Owen Graduate Hall door, MSU police Lt. Alicia Nordmann said.Between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday, the woman returned to her room and found the pile of fecal matter spread on the rug along the base of her door as well as on the door handle, Nordmann said.Police have no suspects. An investigation is underway.

  • A 21-year-old male student living in Case Hall contacted police after finding crickets all over his room Monday, Nordmann said.Two of his male floormates were identified in the prank. The men entered his room between 2:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. and let numerous crickets loose inside the bedroom along with a portion of cricket food, Nordmann said.The two men, both 19, were identified by other residents. The director of Case Hall is handling the situation and the two men will be referred to MSU’s campus judicial system, Nordmann said.
