April 12, 2012

A 25-year-old male student reported his backpack and laptop were stolen between 1 and 5 p.m. April 2 from the Plant and Soil Sciences Building, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student told police he set his backpack down in the building and forgot it there, and he could not find it upon his return, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The black backpack, valued at $35, contained a $1,200 Apple Macbook and a textbook valued at $12.

There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
