MSU golf team signs 2 players for 2010
By Cash Kruth (Last updated: 11/19/09 7:55pm)The MSU men’s golf team announced two student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent for the 2010-11 season.
Gareth Blease (London) reached the semifinals of the 2009 Welsh Men’s Amateur Championship and finished second at the 2008 Welsh Boys’ Stroke Play Championship. At Epsom College, Blease led his team to the national finals of the HMC Foursomes competition in each of the past two seasons.
Conor O’Neil (Glasgow, Scotland) won the 2009 Glasgow County Junior Stroke Play Championship, and also has finished runner-up at the Glasgow County Senior Stroke Play Championship. He was named player of the year by the Flemming Watson League and Glasgow Golf Union for 2009.
