he should be. but sadly the Heisman is undoubtedly a team trophy. that is, it goes to members of popular highly ranked teams.

Sadly, Javon Ringer is not in contention for the Heisman. He now ranks 5th (not 8th), but he plays at a no-glamour school, his front line is woefully deficient & a bunch of unsure rookies, and his quarterback is a park statue that cannot provide any variety to keep opponents from correctly guessing that Ringer will get the ball on 98% of all plays run.

Precisely the reasons outlined by Zoe

he plays at a no-glamour school, his front line is
woefully deficient & a bunch of unsure rookies, and
his quarterback is a park statue that cannot provide
any variety to keep opponents from correctly guessing
that Ringer will get the ball on 98% of all plays run.

are what makes Javon Ringer such an outstanding Heisman hopeful. Yes, football is a team game, but the Heisman is an individual’s trophy. And Ringer’s success, given the deficiencies outlined above, help him stand out.

Zoe, you’re crazy. Ringer has been talking up his O-Line and how well they’ve been blocking for him all this time. He’s the first to say he wouldn’t be here without them.

Maybe you’re getting us confused with Michigan or Notre Dame, but last time I checked our O-Line only had trouble with California, running a brand new defensive scheme that we had no film on, during the first game of the season.

Zoe Knows Nothing:
I forgot more about football than you’ll ever accumulate in the overcooked pea you call your brain. What do you expect Ringer to do, call out his ineffective line? He’d never gain another yard if he did. You pathetic excuses for the Cal game are amusing. I’m crazy? Not even close, boy-o.
