Izzo gets second recruit for 2009
MSU men’s head basketball coach Tom Izzo has landed another recruit for the 2009-2010 season. Six-foot-9, 275-pound center Derrick Nix verbally committed to MSU, according to the scouting Web site Rivals.com.
Nix, named the 88th best player in the ESPN.com Top 100 players of that recruiting class, was the second player landed by Izzo, after center Garrick Sherman.
According to ESPN, Nix is a “wide body” player and a load in the paint whose efforts to lose weight have paid off in recent years.

Yes! Once again Izzo comes through with a big time big man. I can’t wait to see that our front court will look like if Roe stays 2 years.

6’9”, 275 lbs, and a “wide body.” Sounds like he’s built like Kevin Love. Let’s hope he can play like him for us.
