Compared to the MSU vs. Oregon game, crime during the MSU vs. Air Force game on campus was significantly lower.
With nearly 50 fewer citations, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said it is probably because the game was earlier in the day, giving people less time to party before kickoff.
Here's a breakdown of the MSU vs. Oregon game day crime:
- 16 public urination citations
- 16 minor in possession arrests
- Seven trespassing citations
- Seven ordinance violations
- Five drunk and disorderly arrests
- One domestic assault
- One assault and battery incident occurred the night after the Sept. 12 game against Oregon, MSU police Sgt. Paul Kuchek said.
The stats for Saturday's game against Air Force are as follows:
- 11 total citations
- One ordinance violation
- Nine minor in possessions
- One trespassing
MSU police are asking those attending games not to bring purses, bags or seat cushions with pockets since those are not allowed into the stadium.
Some have left their belongings outside and at that point MSU is no longer responsible for lost or stolen items.
E-cigarettes and Selfie Sticks are also not allowed, however they will allow 20 oz. unopened bottles of water into the stadium.
