Less than 24 hours after he was apprehended by MSU police, sophomore running back Delton Williams pleaded not guilty to one charge of brandishing a firearm in public after an alleged road rage incident on Monday night, according to 54B District Court documents.
A 23-year-old male student was cut off at a light on South Shaw Lane and Red Cedar Road Monday evening, allegedly by Williams, and the student then honked his horn. Williams allegedly then turned around and pulled out a weapon.
"He did not point it at the individual, but he did display it," Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said of the incident
Court records also showed Williams has a permit for the gun he allegedly brandished.
The presiding judge is Richard Ball and Williams' bail, set at $500, has been made. Williams is scheduled for a pre-trial appearance on April 15 in East Lansing.
