After months of investigation, East Lansing authorities have arrested and charged a suspect in connection to three reported sexual assaults that occurred in April and May.
Oswald Scott Wilder, a 26-year-old Vernon, Mich., resident, was arrested Friday night and charged Saturday, according to a press release from the East Lansing Police Department.
Wilder has seven charges against him, including one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration. He is being held without bond in Ingham County Jail.
Police believe Wilder initiated three sexual attacks, all of which occurred at off-campus locations near MSU.
The first happened near midnight on April 20, Coolidge Road, south of Lake Lansing Road. The second occurred just days later, at 3 a.m. on April 26 within the 300 block on Charles Street.
The last incident took place at 8 p.m. on May 16 in the Abbott Pointe Apartments parking lot.
