Country star and “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood has decided to add 40 new shows to her “Blown Away” tour, which includes a stop on April 13 at Breslin Center, Wharton Center Public Relations Manager Bob Hoffman said.
Underwood’s release of her most recent album, “Blown Away,” made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart. In the 47-year history of the chart, Underwood is the second country artist in history to have four albums in a row debut at No. 1.
The tour also will include singer/songwriter Hunter Hayes, who has been involved in the music scene from a very young age. Recently, Hayes has released his debut self-titled album and headlined the Most Wanted tour with fellow country stars Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift.
One dollar from each ticket sold will go to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief. Tickets will be available Friday.
