Nov. 12 marked the official start of Mental Health Awareness Week at MSU. Mental Health Awareness Week is a program run by the Associated Students of Michigan State University, or ASMSU, and consists of events to promote awareness about mental health and to help erase the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Democratic challenger Elissa Slotkin won the race for Michigan's 8th Congressional District. Slotkin won Ingham County with 64,859 total votes and 66.61 percent of the vote.
A research panel titled "Civic Engagement in 2018: Mobilization, Political Behavior and Public Opinion in a Divided World" is aiming to help mobilize young voters. The panel will take place on Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. in room 145 of the Communication Arts and Sciences building.
