The 2010 World Cup in South Africa pushed soccer back into the mainstream light, and college students especially began to watch soccer with extreme passion. Their passion doesn’t have to stop with the World Cup, as MSU’s soccer team’s are worth watching as well.
Freshman goalkeeper Molly Cassidy was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Taking advantage of its versatile depth and talent, head coach Cathy George and junior outside hitter Jenilee Rathje led the MSU volleyball team through a challenging weekend of success. The Spartans (3-0) continued their play in the MSU Showcase prevailing over IUPUI 3-0 on Saturday and then beating Evansville later that night 3-0.
