The Michigan State baseball team hosted its annual First Pitch Dinner Sunday afternoon, ringing in the unofficial start of the 2023 season. In attendance were Alumnus of the Year recipient Eric Rosekrans and keynote speaker and Emmy-winning actor Timothy Busfield.

MSU women’s basketball outlasted by Leigha Brown, No. 17 U-M
After a very promising first half, MSU's hopes for a season split with rival No. 17 U-M hopes slowly turned into lost dreams as fifth-year guard Leigha Brown and her team mounted an enormous second half, capped off with a 77-67 win. Brown finished with 29 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

MSU women's basketball struggles to convert turnovers into points
The problem with the game against the Wolverines was not that they couldn't force turnovers—it was that they were not able to convert turnovers into points. The Spartans were only able to amass 14 points on their 20 turnovers, and Michigan had the same amount of points on just half the amount of turnovers.
