A lot is on the line when MSU and No. 13 Penn State meet for the Land Grant Trophy on Saturday at Spartan Stadium. In what has become an increasingly important game each year as the Spartans return to respectability under head coach Mark Dantonio, MSU is looking to pick up the all-important seventh victory — a win that would secure a winning season, regardless of what happens in a bowl game.

The MSU women’s basketball team announced that sophomore forward Courtney Schiffauer will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee Tuesday.

Schedule not getting easier for No. 6 Spartans with series vs. Irish

The treacherous month of November rolls on for the No. 6 MSU hockey team. The Spartans will host No. 14 Notre Dame tonight and travel to Fort Wayne, Ind., on Sunday to face the Irish in a neutral barn, marking the third straight series for the Spartans against a team ranked in the top 15.
