Spartans looking to cut down on turnovers

Wednesday night’s game against Duke, which many believe could be a preview of the national championship game, saw MSU turn the ball over 20 times. If there’s one thing the Spartans are looking to improve on when Bowling Green comes to town Saturday, it’s taking better care of the ball.

Spartans earn Academic All-Big Ten honors

The Big Ten awarded 706 fall student-athletes for excelling on the field and in the classroom with 2010 Academic All-Conference honors. The conference office announced 83 of the awards went to student-athletes in seven fall sports for MSU, which was second most in the conference behind only Northwestern.

Tough season ends on high note for volleyball team

attling injuries, adversity and Big Ten competition, MSU volleyball head coach Cathy George was faced with more challenges than she could imagine. After falling into a six-match losing streak, the Spartans (15-16 overall, 7-13 Big Ten) pulled themselves up by their shoelaces and finished the season 4-2.
