A student getting off of a Capital Area Transportation Authority bus had her BlackBerry stolen from a clip on her jeans at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

A railing was bent and detached from a West Holden Hall stairwell sometime between 10 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday, causing $800 worth of damage, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 46-year-old male employee reported the railing was detached and part of the stairs crumbled at the site as a result, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects in the incident, she said.

A couple getting married at the Kellogg Center had a hitch in their plans to tie the knot Friday when the bride’s mom hung her daughter’s wedding dress on a ceiling sprinkler head, setting off the sprinkler system and filling a hotel room with six to eight inches of water, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
