Dear Spartan Family,  The sky over Michigan State University became a bit dimmer Wednesday as we mourn the sudden death of fellow graduate student in Chicano/Latino Studies and Curriculum, Instruction and Teacher Education, Max Monroy-Miller.  The loss of any Spartan is difficult but a sudden loss is increasingly more troublesome.  Max served as the CITE Representative for the Council of Graduate Students; his passion for justice and love for humanity were evident in all he did.

It would seem that every organization and campaign is putting pressure on voters to exercise their civic duty to participate in elections. That’s fine. I speak for many students at MSU when I say this. Last night’s “ticket glitch” to the Big Ten Championship game was a "slap to the face" for loyal student fans here at Michigan State.  After MSU beat Penn State and after Coach Dantonio gave his “Reach Higher” speech (which I was there for) a graphic displayed on the Jumbo-tron at Spartan Stadium saying tickets for the Big 10 Championship Game against Iowa next Saturday will go on sale at 9PM tonight.
