Harbor Bay Real Estate threatened legal action against the city because they wouldn't lift the age restriction on Newman Lofts. But now, Harbor Bay may be in violation of an agreement and zoning laws set by the city.
MSU professors John Waller and Dr. Clare Luz teamed up to create the Senior Ambassador Program, a virtual learning program where students from the Social Science Scholars Program are matched with seniors in the East Lansing community to build strong, intergenerational relationships, all through Zoom video calls.

Community members will be required to participate in a health screening and wear face coverings within the facility upon reopening. However, face coverings will not be required when swimming or in locker room showers. Temperatures will also be taken during the health screening.
The quarantined properties include 23 fraternity and sorority houses and seven large rental houses.

Despite the ramifications for political campaigns dependent on college voters, Slotkin, who is seeking re-election against Paul Junge, said MSU President Samuel L. Stanley's move to online learning was the right decision.

Former MSU Police Deputy Chief Valerie O'Brien, who was placed on administrative leave with her husband and former MSU PD detective JJ Bradac in 2019, has returned after more than a year. Her husband, Bradac, is no longer employed by MSU or the department.
