Starting in fall 2021, students will be required to live on campus for two years. The requirement was reinstated to help students achieve higher graduation rates.

East Lansing City Council Member Lisa Babcock urged residents to stay home but also said that if they must go out on Black Friday that they should shop local. “Every dollar you spend at our local stores stays in the community and keeps the community vibrant,” Babcock said. “You’ll encounter fewer crowds.

The month of November has seen a total of 29 deaths to date, up from 23 in October and 10 the two months prior. This total in a single month is just one death less than the entire five-month span between March and July, which reported a cumulative total of 30 deaths.
The resolution was approved unanimously on Tuesday night declaring racism a public health crisis. Furthermore, the resolution also acknowledges and adopts March 25 as an international day of remembrance for victims of the Trans-Atlantic slave passage.

Bill 57-30 allocated $33,000 of the ASMSU budget to go toward the creation of this fund. Later, the Office of the Provost pledged $15,000 and each class council pledged $500, bringing the total fund to $50,000.
