Hosting the event was School of Packaging Director Matthew Daum, who was appointed in 2020. In that time Daum has pushed for change throughout the school, with the renovations being the first of three phases to initiate that change.
The MSU Black Students’ Alliance, or BSA, organized a candlelight vigil on April 19 in front of The Rock to honor the life of Patrick Lyoya. Student groups and administration came to support the cause.
