Waka Flocka Flame, Between Friends rock MSU's campus at annual spring concert

Michigan State University welcomed musical guests Waka Flocka Flame and Between Friends to the Breslin Center last night night, March 28, for the annual spring concert. The event was organized collaboratively by Impact 89 FM, Residence Halls Association, The Associated Students of MSU and the University Activities Board. Organizers worked diligently to figure out venue details, budget, scheduling and every other aspect of putting together this event for the MSU community.

MSU baseball looks to correct recent pitching woes against Rutgers in Big Ten home season opener

Michigan State baseball has had a rough start to the season, including two losses at Maryland and a loss to Oakland at home, a game in which the Spartans allowed 16 hits and went through seven pitchers. However, the Spartans look to spin things around and possibly take a series win against Rutgers in Michigan State's home series opener against a Big Ten team. The Rutgers are 18-7 and have not played at Big Ten team yet, as opposed to Michigan State's 10-13 record overall and a 1-2 record in Big Ten play.

MSU professor finds mental health services reduce jail populations, U.S. counties lack effective practices

An MSU College of Human Medicine professor’s study, "Recommended Mental Health Practices for Individuals Interacting With U.S. Police, Court, Jail, Probation, and Parole Systems," found there is a severe lack of services in all counties across the U.S. Of 59 recommended practices, no practices were used in more than 43% of counties, the study found.
