Affordable makeup dupes that deliver real results

Makeup product dupes have slowly redefined the beauty industry by changing the way people shop and view luxury brands. A “dupe” is a drug store beauty product that has a similar formula to a more expensive, well-known brand and sometimes will go as far as having similar packaging. Social media has taken this term and applied it to a number of different makeup and skin care items, causing a dupe-epidemic to occur, but the big question is: what are the products that are worth it?

House Republicans propose 62% slash to MSU state funding

A House Republican proposed budget for the next fiscal year seeks to slash just over 62% of the state’s funding towards Michigan State University. On Thursday, House Speaker Matt Hall presented the proposed cuts during a press conference in which he expressed disappointment with the direction MSU has been taking. The proposed budget seeks to cut $208.8 million from last fiscal year’s $333.7 million total allocation.

Faculty committee 'caught in the middle' of negotiations between UTSF and MSU

A Michigan State University academic governance body is caught in the middle of contract negotiations between a recently recognized faculty union and the university. The University Committee on Faculty Affairs, which writes an annual memo recommending faculty raises to the administration, has been advised by the general counsel to pause its bylaw-mandated work pending contract negotiations between the Union of Tenure-System Faculty and the university.
