“After the last couple years where, you know, people have been down and inside, it kind of just felt good to be outside and see the community vibrant, and just having fun, and just having a good time in their costumes,” magician Cameron Zvara said. “Just interacting together, it just felt good to feel like a community again.”

"By throwing all these people away and incarcerating them, you're not protecting anybody," advocate Tasheena Lewis said. "You're creating a larger, vicious cycle. You're creating more drama with families, with these children growing up without parents, without grandparents."
