Storify: Cedar Village celebrations following MSU football victory over Michigan

After MSU's last second victory over U-M Saturday night, Cedar Village, a sight of many post-game celebrations erupted in cheers. From MSU's fight song, profanity-laden chants against U-M and Jim Harbaugh, a couch fire and the return of the bagels, Cedar Village was laden in a celebratory atmosphere.  MSU police and the East Lansing Police Department stayed off to the sidelines until the end, when the crowd started throwing bagels in the middle of the road, quickly dispersing the group. Look below for a Storify of some of Cedar Village's best moments Saturday night.

Magic Johnson statue vandalized by U-M fans last night

Apparently other landmarks on campus aside from the Sparty statue need to be guarded during rivalry week.  The Magic Johnson statue located outside the Jack Breslin Student Events Center was vandalized last night. A yellow ‘M’ was painted on the chest, and “Beat State” written on the base of the statue. Infrastructure Planning and Facilities cleaned the paint off the statue around 10:45 a.m, according to Tweets.  Social media users have also reported the steps of the MSU Union were also vandalized with the phrase "Go Blue."  Stay with statenews.com for more updates.
