Record number of public relations students to graduate this spring

Twenty-five students completed the public relations graduation requirements. After the major officially began in fall of 2020, the number of students enrolled has continued to climb over the years. The number of declared public relations students has nearly doubled since spring of 2022, from 89 to 164.

ASMSU passes bill encouraging creation of memorial bench

Typically, the 100th bill in each Associated Students of MSU session is looked at as more of a light topic. But it was different this year. Bill 59-100 proposed that ASMSU use its funds to build a bench memorial honoring the lives of the victims of the tragic events of Feb. 13.

East Lansing City Council approves grant application for Hannah Community Center construction

The East Lansing City Council convened on April 4 to vote on a resolution to recognize ‘No Mow May,' during which residents are encouraged to hold off on mowing their lawns until June to conserve energy, reduce carbon emissions and produce less waste from lawn clippings. The council also voted to approve an application for $625,000 to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources through the Spark Grant program.
