As Saturday's contentious matchup between MSU and the University of Michigan approaches, MSUPD is preparing for an influx of fans by increasing its police presence. In response to last year's tunnel fight between the two teams, MSUPD will also have additional security personnel stationed throughout the stadium and near the tunnels.

On Aug. 17, a handful of MSU students were notified that either their social security numbers or MSU IDs had been stolen due to a large cybersecurity attack in June.
Their silence leaves much unclear, including who is and isn’t complying with the investigation, how long it will take, how much it will cost, how the findings will be delivered and if the results will ever be made public at all.
“In Lansing specifically, I feel like we’ve had a self-esteem problem for a little bit,” Pulver said. “It’s been fun to see us coming around to the other side of that and a renewed gritty sense of pride in our city. That’s something I deeply relate to and want to convey. To be able to do that in my hometown is something that’s really cool for me.”
