Students continue "die-in" protests at Main Library

"Die-in" protests against police brutality and racism seem to be continuing into finals week, with the latest demonstration in the MSU Main Library. Protesters are trying to raise awareness on campus of what they feel has been displays of injustice across the country pertaining to the death of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Two commencement speakers have been close to controversy in 2014

University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist George Will have found themselves in the middle of the sexual assault issue in 2014. While Sullivan has been a rallying point of the response to the scandal at the University of Virginia, Will has been the target of much furor over his remarks about sexual assault.

Amnesty International hosts writeathon for Human Rights Day

To acknowledge Human Rights Day on Dec. 10, Amnesty International MSU hosted a writeathon to help raise awareness and urge the government to help people facing human rights abuses.
