MSU plans to use $1 million grant toward counseling services

MSU has received a $1 million grant in order to improve college counseling. The grant comes from the National Science Foundation and will be used to develop a system known as iSee. Researchers from the Colleges of Engineering and Communication Arts and Sciences, as well as the MSU Counseling Center, are contributing to the project.

Student veteran reflects on MSU gold status

MSU Student Veterans of America President Kyle Kissinger said he was “surprised” when MSU was named a veteran-friendly school. MSU was awarded a gold status by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, MVAA, as part of their Veteran-Friendly School program on Aug 26.

Students use Surplus Store as low-cost stop

Students shop for deals during the MSU surplus store move-in sale. The MSU surplus store has extended their hours this week as part of their move-in sale, and students taking advantage of the extra hours to hunt for bargains.

MSU students hold sit-in over Women's Lounge

MSU students gathered at the Union for the sit-in protest, “Take Back The Women’s Study Lounge” on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. The Women’s Lounge was once an intended safe area for women to study on MSU's campus since it opened in 1925. MSU administration has converted the space to one for all genders, including a private lactation area that opened August 2016.
