Dining halls offer many cultural and religion-friendly food stations

When one thinks of culture, many things come to mind -- music, sports, clothes -- but also food. For Michigan State, a university with over 7,000 international students, one place where this comes into play is the cafeterias. From Brody Complex to Akers Hall, many things have been done to appeal to different cultures across campus.

MSU student aims to break world domino record

Since he was a child, mechanical engineering student Steven Price had a knack for making things move. “When I was a kid I was always playing with marble tracks, building blocks, hot wheels, things like that and then I kinda just decided to combine them all together and see what kind of creative things that I could do with them all” said Price.  As it turned out, there were plenty of creative things for Price to do.

LETTER: Greenpeace strives to change MSU Culinary Services' tuna provider

If you’re unfamiliar with MSU’s Greenpeace student committee, here’s a simple way to state our MO; We students, in part with Greenpeace headquarters, organize to peacefully protest, and encourage creative communications, in order to expose the onslaught of global, and environmental, issues caused by companies at home and abroad. MSU Greenpeace and MSU Dining Service met January 20 to continue efforts in switching the University’s tuna provider.

With a little over a month of the semester left, students are starting to think about summer. We’re figuring out where we’re going to be, planning vacations and finding out if we need to take classes. Many students are at MSU for at least four years, leaving three summers between the first semester and graduation.

It happened twice this weekend. In the early morning on March 28, 2015, following MSU's victory over Oklahoma, fans took to the streets to celebrate. Then on March 29, 2015, after the men's basketball team defeated Louisville to advance to the Final Four, Cedar Village was packed once again. Students build bicycles for children in foster care

Tinkering with wheels, pedals and handlebars, members of Together We Riseap, a national non-profit that helps improve the experience of children in the U.S. foster care system, hosted a bike build during the weekend in Case Hallap to support Lansing area children in foster care.
