Laughter is the Cure to Life to put on Riverboat show

With a goal to spread laughter and help those in need, former MSU student Sam Silverstein and Berkley, Mich. resident Nick Tenaglia, the founders of Laughter is the Cure to Life, have revamped their performance for a one night event. “Laughter is the cure is a non-profit that we set up that allows us to do what we love by putting on comedy shows, making weekly videos and trying to make people smile any way we can while raising money for childhood cancer,” Silverstein said.

Safe Night Club will walk you home

Although no messages were likely to come in, for any who may have needed them, they waited. The MSU Safe Night Club, founded last November, is the collective effort of four students to fill a perceived need in the community: a service to walk students home on the weekends, wherever on campus that may be, should they feel unsafe at night.

MSU men's soccer hangs on to defeat Bowling Green, 1-0

           With MSU attempting to avoid their first consecutive negative outcomes of the season, the Spartans delivered a markedly durable performance on Wednesday afternoon against Bowling Green, surviving for a 1-0 success.             MSU entered the game 5-2, following their second defeat of the season in a road trip to Maryland, the no.1 team in the nation.

Cosi closes, blindsides staff

The restaurant Cosi, located on 301 W. Grand River Ave., closed permanently on Monday. The closing appeared to be a shock to residents and employees of Cosi, as they neglected to inform workers they had shut down.
