Michigan State men’s basketball, now ranked No. 11 after wins over Kentucky and Detroit Mercy, is set for the Fort Myers Tip-Off, where it will face East Carolina and No. 16 North Carolina. The City of East Lansing held its first annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Ann St. Plaza on Saturday, November 22. The event began at 5 p.m. with a crowd wrapping around the plaza, all lined up for hot cocoa, tea, pony rides and a unique Division St Garage ornament. This was the first Christmas Tree lighting to be held in East Lansing, and it was hosted by the East Lansing Downtown Management Board (DMB).

On Friday, Nov. 21, the 41st annual Silver Bells in the City celebration took place in downtown Lansing. With plenty of activities scattered throughout the night, attendees were encouraged to participate in all that interested them.

MSU played tighter defense and sharper offense than the previous night, but gave up a power-play goal in the second period. On Nov. 19th students spent the night "Dancing Through Life" at the University Activities Board A Wicked Night event. To celebrate the upcoming release of the sequel Wicked: For Good, students gathered in the Erickson Kiva for a night of Wicked themed karaoke, trivia, arts and crafts and treats.
