Column: Pink ribbons will not save my aunt's life

It has been just over seven years since my aunt’s diagnosis. We’ve done the pink thing, and still do the pink thing on rare occasions if we know that the money is funding research, and not more ribbons. But, I caution you, as pink spreads throughout the country in the name of awareness, make sure you know where your money is really going when you consider buying this month’s newest pink item.

State departments, MSU release pilot app for early detection

The app works by assigning those who have tested positive for COVID-19 a code that allows them to anonymously share that they have tested positive. The app then uses Bluetooth to detect nearby phones that also have the app, and if for 15 minutes, a user is within six feet of someone that has tested positive, the user will get a notification.

MSU files motion to dismiss complaint in former MSU sprinter case

The survivor's testimony said after her interview with MSUPD, other members on the team approached her and said she would "suffer adverse consequences" if she pursued a complaint. She chose not to remain on the team as a middle-distance runner and transferred to Grand Valley State University the following year to pursue sprinting.
