What else would a 21-year-old straight Caucasian female put on her shirt? Speaking as a 20-year-old Caucasian heterosexual female, I think it's important to raise awareness about the kind of language we use that degrades minority groups in society.

Pay hike to be decided for council members

MIDDAY UPDATE: Grant could give aid to ailing communities

On an average afternoon, the Center for Family Health clinic in Jackson is a boiling pot of screaming toddlers, crowded waiting rooms and nurses rushing from patient to patient.A team of receptionists were busy at work Thursday, processing appointments and struggling to manage the growing lines from behind a large glass partition.The center, the only one of its kind in the Jackson area, provides federally funded health care to patients who have little or no health insurance.Last week, MSU announced the formation of the Michigan Center for Health Education Training in the Communities.

Sciences, research grants rise 40 percent

MSU administrators are urging faculty to secure valuable and hazardous research materials after a vandal destroyed a project in a campus plant laboratory earlier this month.A message distributed to faculty on Friday states there is a growing concern about the "loss of valuable research materials" as a result of vandalism.
