The Great White North. No, not Canada - Alaska. It's where the MSU hockey team has been since Wednesday, gearing up for its weekend series against Alaska Fairbanks starting today at 11:05 p.m. Adjusting to the time difference - Alaska is four hours behind - prompted MSU head coach Rick Comley to hit the road two days ago despite MSU holding a 10-2 advantage at Alaska. "Players are so tired when you get there - they want to sleep constantly during the day," Comley said. "It's what you do with the trip mentally.
As news of the first cloned embryo in South Korea circulates around the world, an MSU professor and researcher can take credit for helping to prove the clones were, in fact, authentic. South Korean scientists Woo Suk Hwang and Shin Yong Moon published a study Thursday in the research journal Science revealing their findings on cloning a human embryo for medical purposes. "My role was to guide them on the forensic work and to prove to them that the cell line was really from a human," said Jose Cibelli, a professor in the departments of Animal Science and Physiology. Cibelli has been a researcher in the MSU Cellular Reprogramming Laboratory for a little more than a year.

It has come to my attention that the reputation of MSU sorority girls cannot escape slander in so much as one day.
For anyone who has ever had to pay a $25 parking ticket for leaving their car on an East Lansing street overnight, you know how aggravating East Lansing's "fund-raising" can be.
This morning, a certain percentage of this university's student body is on its way to a math class, probably dreading this requirement as much as potentially going to a lecture on the production of elevator buttons. That is how I feel about the math requirement here at MSU.

Uh, nonsmoking please. It seems to echo in every restaurant these days. And why shouldn't it? The public shouldn't be subjected to secondhand smoke against its own will, but smokers still should be allowed to light up if they choose. But recent legislation proposed by Gov.
