Northern Kentucky University President James Votruba, an MSU alumnus and former administrator, hasn't denied interest in becoming MSU's next president. A recent Supreme Court decision to guarantee accessibility in government-owned buildings, such as schools and courthouses, provides greater encouragement for MSU to push for more accessibility on campus, officials say. "We have, for the past years, taken strong steps to make the campus more barrier free," said Carol Swinehart, chairwoman of the President's Advisory Committee for Disability Issues at MSU.

Most of them, though, are from former colleagues and students who have traveled abroad and returned with a gift-a testament to the legacy that Levine has left on their lives.

Lansing - A 10:30 a.m. start time is difficult for any baseball player, but an early game following a three-and-a-half hour, 11-inning thriller the night before would cause any team to get off to a sluggish start.That's exactly what happened Wednesday morning as the Lansing Lugnuts and West Michigan White Caps struggled to find any hits for the first five innings before the Lugnuts rediscovered their bats in the fifth and pulled off a 3-1 win."It's a little hard to get up in the morning and it took a few innings for us to wake up," Lansing left fielder Kevin Collins said.

Lansing - There were no lines extending to Michigan Avenue from Oldsmobile Park after game time Tuesday night, unlike Mark Prior's first pitching stint with the Lansing Lugnuts last week.While many seats remained empty for the Cubs pitcher's second start, a crowd of a little more than 5,000 got to see a wide array of fastballs and changeups in Prior's four and a third innings, not to mention an extra innings Lugnuts victory.Prior made 62 pitches, striking out eight, allowing only one hit and one earned run.Despite the impressive stats, Prior felt he was lacking the fire that the National League All-Star has become known for."I felt fine physically, but I felt kind of dead," Prior said.
