MSU's Pad the Mitten holds 'period package' party, advocates for awareness

Yesterday, Michigan State University's menstrual equity and justice club Pad the Mitten held its first period package party of the semester. The organization's goal was to donate 100 period packages to the Salus Center, an LGBTQIA+ community center in Lansing. Club President Mackenzie Lovell said the main focus is to eradicate period poverty in the Greater East Lansing area, as well as reduce the stigma around menstrual cycles.

MSU Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity holds registration tables for National Voter Registration Day

For National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, the Michigan State University Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. set up a voting registration table at the Wells Hall Courtyard. According to communication senior Brandon Foster, who is also Zeta Delta chapter historian, the goal of the event was to not only get people registered to vote, but to also teach the importance of voting education.
