The holiday break is an excellent opportunity to unwind and unplug from the real world. But as our much needed period of rest comes to a close and we settle back into life in East Lansing, here are four pieces of MSU news to catch you up on what you missed over break.
Students gathered outside the Hannah Administration Building on Monday to protest the reopening of Berkey Hall, one of the sites of the Feb. campus shooting that killed three and injured five. Monday marked the first day that classes have been held in the building since the shooting, which occurred nearly a year ago.

After a tough loss in the championship game of the Great Lakes Invitational, the Spartans were finally back home for an exhilarating exhibition matchup against the US National Team Development Program (NTDP) where they played an absolutely dominant full 60 minutes and took a win with a score of 5-2.
Ever since Michigan State’s men’s basketball team’s 77-70 loss at Nebraska on Dec. 10 to drop to 0-2 in conference play, the Spartans have played like an entirely different team.
