The Michigan State Spartans went into the rivalry weekend against the University of Michigan Wolverines with the same end goal in mind they've had all season: to sweep their opponent. In a harshly fought battle, the Spartans did just that as they concluded the weekend with a 3-2 victory of the Duel in the D matchup, Michigan State's first win since 2016.

MSU Museum preserves items from memorials created in wake of campus shooting

In the weeks following the Feb. 13, 2023 shooting on MSU's campus, the MSU Museum began the process of preserving, digitizing, and archiving the thousands of items that were left at memorial sites across campus. From handwritten notes to stuffed animals, the museum plans to add all memorial items to its Cultural Collection, which will likely take another year to complete.

MSU hockey dominates weekend and grabs 3-2 win at Duel in the D against Michigan

The Spartans were in a hunt for a win after an incredibly dominant performance at Yost the night prior and the Spartans became the 2024 Duel in the D champions for the first time since 2016 after winning 3-2 against the University of Michigan Wolverines.

Discipline and puck control help MSU hockey in 5-1 victory over Michigan

With the final rivalry weekend of the season underway for the Michigan State hockey team, the Spartans finished night one of a two-game series with an absolutely dominant 5-1 win over the Michigan Wolverines. One goal came in the second period and four more — two of them being empty net goals — came in the third period.

Michigan State's women's gymnastics, ranked No. 10, defeated No. 25 University of Illinois in a Friday night meet at Jenison Field House, moving the team record to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the Big Ten Conference.

As the crowds amped up and the players fled onto the ice, puck drop was soon approaching as the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines were back for the final meeting of the season at Yost Ice Arena to hunt for a big win. The Spartans took a dominating victory over their rivals with a final score of 5-1.

After yet another loss on the road, the Michigan State men’s basketball team will look to get back on track at home Saturday against No. 10 Illinois. The game between Michigan State and Illinois will tip-off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Breslin Center. MSU women's basketball falls short to No. 14 Indiana 94-91 in intense road battle

Michigan State women's basketball fell short to the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers on Thursday night 94-91 in a nail-biting finish on the road. The Spartans now hold a record of 17-6 overall and 7-5 in the Big Ten Conference, along with a 3-4 record away. Coming into the game, the Hoosiers were 11-0 in home games and now still hold a perfect record after they clinched a win. Before the game, both teams were on a four-game winning streak against multiple Big Ten opponents.

MSU hockey prepares for second rivalry series against Michigan Wolverines

After just a few weeks since the last series between the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines on the ice at Munn Ice Arena and Yost Ice Arena, the in-state rivalry is set for round two as the Spartans travel back to Ann Arbor as well as head to Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for the annual Duel in the D.
