The Office of Cultural and Academic Transitions (OCAT) held Spartan Remix, an annual cultural celebration on Thursday night. This event is held every year for students to embrace and learn about other cultures that are different from their own. During Spartan Remix, students were able to have fun and enjoy the music, food and freebies that were passed around. In addition, students also had the opportunity to sign up for various organizations on campus. Although it is on a smaller scale, Spartan Remix had an impact on all minority students that were in attendance, which was shown last night with the huge turn out that it had.

On Thursday, the annual Spartan Remix event was held at The Rock on Farm Lane. The event, put on by the Office of Cultural and Academic Transitions, brings the many diverse communities on campus together for an evening of entertainment and the celebration of culture. Many different organizations within the Council of Racial and Ethnic Students and Council of Progressive Students were able to educate students on who they are and what they do. Performances from many of these groups also occurred throughout the night.
