Student-run business expands in less than a year

In April, The State News talked to the student-run business Land Grant Goods, a company established through MSU’s Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment, or RISE based out of Bailey Hall, about its business. Part of their products come from the Bailey Hall greenhouse itself.

A thank-you from a grateful Spartan mother

Within a mother, you’ll find a sense of duty to do all that they can to ensure the well-being of their child.  This is true of one Michigan State University alumna. She is not only a Spartan — she’s a mother, as well. She, along with her husband, are both Spartan alumni with a daughter attending MSU. In recent weeks, they placed an anonymous advertisement in the State News — not an advertisement of goods and services, but an advertisement of thanks.

Students experience top-tier talent at MSU Madness

On Friday night, MSU hoops’ annual MSU Madness — formerly known as Midnight Madness — took place at the Breslin Center. Players signed autographs, the team was announced, fans got a glimpse of the squad with a scrimmage, coach Tom Izzo came out with a mascot lookalike and the environment was electric.
