Fan utopia lies in 'D'

Detroit is flat-out the hottest sports town in America right now. It wasn't but a few years ago that the only team Detroit sports fans had to look forward to was the Red Wings, because they were the only team that was going to win. I had the privilege of being in Iowa during the weekend prior to the caucuses, spending my time as a volunteer for one of Kerry's Democratic opponents, Sen.

Duke should be hated by all

I write this as I watch the Duke Blue Devils play a tight game against the Xavier Musketeers in an Elite Eight matchup that certainly means more for Duke than it does Xavier. The outcome of the game probably is negligible in the cosmic sense.
