MSU establishes program to foster women leaders in business

Michigan State University recently established a new program to accelerate more women in business into leadership roles post-graduation. Created thanks to the donation of MSU alum Priya Balasubramaniam, the Dashney Women’s Leadership Accelerator will offer one-on-one mentorship, workshops and other specialized opportunities for a select group of women every year in the Broad College of Business.

Union of Tenure Stream Faculty skeptical of delays in unionization process, profile of law firm representing MSU

The Union of Tenure Stream Faculty, or UTSF, first launched its campaign on Nov. 1 in hopes of giving professors more power in administrative decision making. Now, having requested formal recognition from MSU’s Board of Trustees after gaining the majority support needed among tenure-track faculty, UTSF is awaiting the finalization of the negotiations.

MSU instructors navigate return to Berkey Hall despite lack of administrative guidance

Since the Jan. 8 reopening of Berkey Hall, one of the sites of the February mass shooting that killed three people and injured five at Michigan State University, students enrolled in classes in the building have had varying levels of comfort, with some requesting accommodations. The university has largely passed off that responsibility to the individual instructors of the classes.
