Volleyball team loses sixth straight
The MSU volleyball team had another close match this weekend, but were unable to stop a five-game slide in falling 3-2 at No. 9 Minnesota Friday.

Last season, the MSU field hockey team had a strong run and finished near the top of the Big Ten, but fell one step short of accomplishing all its goals. The Spartans finished second in the conference and lost one round short of reaching the Final Four.

The Nittany Lions defeated the Wolverines on Saturday for the first time at Michigan Stadium since 1996. Penn State quarterback Daryll Clark went 16-for-27 for 240 yards and four touchdowns for the Nittany Lions (7-1 overall, 3-1 Big Ten)

MSU women’s soccer head coach Tom Saxton chuckled Friday as he talked about yet another season-ending injury for the Spartans, stating that freshman midfielder Jordan Mueller will miss the remainder of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
