The No. 2 MSU men’s basketball team kicks off the 2010-11 season today, and the players say past faults are being worked on and chemistry is up to help the team obtain the ultimate prize: the National Title.

Spartans excited for rematch with U-M in Big Ten Tournament

After losing to their in-state rival for the first time in eight years, the MSU men’s soccer team will have a chance at redemption. With a bid to the NCAA Tournament possibly at stake, MSU (11-6-1 overall, 2-4-0 Big Ten) will play Michigan in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament at 10 a.m. Thursday in State College, Pa.

Spartans earn All-Big Ten honors

Women’s soccer junior forward Laura Heyboer and junior goalkeeper Jill Flietstra were awarded First Team All-Big Ten Conference honors for their performances on the pitch this season, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Comley looks for more scoring from icers

Coming into the season, MSU hockey head coach Rick Comley knew scoring would be a challenge for the team, but he didn’t expect scoring problems from so many of his forwards, only six of whom have scored this season.
