Judge in Nassar case reassigned after Facebook 'like'

Former MSU employee Larry Nassar’s case in Eaton County will be reassigned to another judge after Judge Julie O’Neill “liked” a Facebook post from White Law PLLC, according to the Lansing State Journal. Nassar pleaded not guilty to 13 charges of criminal sexual conduct at 56A District Court in Charlotte, Mich. on Feb. 23.

City Council to set hearings for Center City, Park District buildings

A clearer picture of downtown East Lansing’s future may emerge in mid April. Hearings to potentially approve plans for the recently-announced Center City District project and the long-anticipated Park District project are to be scheduled for April 18 and April 25 respectively at tomorrow’s 7 p.m. East Lansing City Council meeting, according to the meeting’s consent agenda.

MSU Mental Health Awareness Club continues to grow, offer support

Though the Mental Health Awareness Club, or MHAC, at MSU’s meetings began with only about 15 members in attendance, once an email was sent out advertising the club, the last meeting, featuring a guest speaker, had about 50 students filling the Union Lake Michigan Room to the point of seats running out.
