A university spokesperson confirmed Michigan State professor David Foran officially resigned before the university had the opportunity to officially fire him.

We all need to be safe but we all also need to be understanding of each other’s beliefs and value our differences.”
The name was changed to better represent LGBTQ+ students at the university. According to the website, some of the challenges posed by the old name were its lack of inclusivity and use of the outdated acronym.
