AG joins coalition against limits on international student visas

The coalition opposes a proposed rule that would set fixed time limits of two or four year on student visas. The attorneys general argue in their letter that these limits would harm international students, limit learning opportunities for domestic students, damage state economies and violate federal law.

President Stanley urges precaution and testing prior to fall departure

"It’s our collective responsibility to ensure the safety of our community, especially for those who plan to travel or return home for Thanksgiving," MSU President Samuel L. Stanley Jr. said in the email. "COVID-19 is on the rise in Michigan and the state has recorded a record number of positive cases due, in part, to small indoor gatherings without face coverings."

Stanley Jr. worked with Beauchamp himself, and their team put together a task force. Many organizations jumped into tactics and initiatives, and the team spent the first few weeks defining that MSU’s approach was going to be values-driven.
