Power outage affecting East Lansing and MSU

MSU police are reporting a power outage affecting campus Thursday morning, according to an MSU Alert. For the third day in a row, MSU has had to respond to an infrastructure issue. On Tuesday, a faulty pipe caused 800 gallons of sulfuric acid to spill out of the MSU Power Plant.

Power Dialog connects students with environmental policy experts

MSU hosted Michigan’s Power Dialog, a chance for conversation between students and experts on environment policy, on April 4. Power Dialog events are part of a national conference series with 20 states participating and connecting the students with experts. The end goal is to raise awareness about clear sustainable processes and environmental justice.

COGS passes resolutions to support Flint, Liberate MSU

Resolutions to support those impacted by the Flint water crisis, the family of recently deceased MSU dual doctoral student Max Monroy-Miller and campus activist group Liberate MSU were passed during two meetings in March by MSU’s Council of Graduate Students, or COGS.
