The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum is bringing art to campus in a whole new way with an exhibit along the Red Cedar riverbanks. The exhibit, a series of portraits by photographer Gideon Mendel, is part of MSU’s 2016-7 thematic year, Water Moves MSU.
The Peace Vigil to Honor Black Lives was held on Thursday afternoon to bring the East Lansing community together to share their concerns about the the violence against Black and Brown people in the community, state, and country.

MSU police have requested that the Michigan Attorney General review and investigate into the case of ex-MSU faculty member, Larry Nassar. According to a press release from the Michigan Department of Attorney General, the request was made by police chief and director Jim Dunlap.
Anyone who walks into the Main Library might notice changes to rooms previously meant for reading and studying — gaming rooms opened last month. In March, MSU Libraries was given an estimated 17,000 electronic games. Each game must be catalogued and processed — something that has proven difficult.
After Oct. 6, Hubbard Dining Hall will be switching over to special events only dining. After “The Edge” at Akers Hall was opened, Hubbard Hall didn’t see as many students as it used to. “Once we opened Akers—brand new, bigger operation, air conditioned—of the over a thousand residents in Hubbard, we feed less than 200 each meal in Hubbard; they all go to Akers,” Matt McKune, associate director for residential dining, said. The dining hall in Hubbard was one of three in East Neighborhood.

One of the major benefits of living on campus is the ease of access to the dining halls. For a certain amount of money per semester, students “living-on” get unlimited access to all the dining halls on campus. However, the plans differ for students off-campus.
