Clinton, Trump campaigns court MSU and U-M tailgaters

Tailgaters for the MSU-Michigan football game got a healthy dose of politics to go with their pre-game grub, as the Trump campaign dispatched former republican presidential candidate and neurosurgeon Ben Carson while the Clinton campaign held an event for MSU and U of M volunteers. "(I'm here to) press in the flesh, talking to a few people, enjoying the ambiance," Carson said. Despite Michigan's blue past, Carson, a Detroit native, was confident   "I think (Trump's chances of winning Michigan) are pretty good," Carson said.

MSU trustees approve more than $3.9 million update to IM West

On Oct. 28, the MSU Board of Trustees approved a more than $3.9 million update to the IM Sports-West facility because of the Healthy Campus Initiative.ch The update comes nearly a year after the board approved $35 million allocation for the Healthy Campus Initiative. Back then, the use of the money was uncertain.

MSU cuts ribbon for Bio Engineering Facility

The ribbon was cut for the grand opening of the MSU Bio Engineering Facility on Thursday, a project that has been in the works since 2013. The 130,000-square-foot facility will be used as a lab and research building for scientists across many MSU colleges, namely the Colleges of Engineering, Human Medicine, and Natural Science, to collaborate.
