Tuesday was a night filled with victory for MSU Women’s Basketball as senior guard Tori Jankoska became the program's new all-time leading scorer and the team defeated Ohio State University, 94-75.

On a chilly Saturday evening, the MSU women’s basketball team downed the University of Nebraska at the Breslin Center, 93-73. With the season in full motion, the starting lineup is beginning to form with two freshmen sliding into the lineup. One of those is redshirt-freshman forward Victoria ‘Coco’ Gaines, who has been showing she’s an asset when on the court.

After nine days without playing, the MSU women’s basketball team went out on the court and defeated Northeastern University, 78-44. The Spartans downed the Huskies in game one of the sports tripleheader between the schools.

Sitting on the bench for less than a minute against Oakland University on Dec. 2, Tori Jankoska wasn’t pleased. Up to that point, about 4:36 left in the second quarter, she had chipped in five points, four assists, a steal and five rebounds though her team clung to a one-point lead.

The MSU women’s basketball team went on the road Tuesday to play Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. With a 71-54 win over Quinnipiac, the Spartans bring their season record to 8-2 overall. It was an all-around effort from the Spartans as senior captain and guard Tori Jankoska led the team with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds.

After rounding out a five-game road trip with a loss to No. 21 Syracuse on Nov. 30, the No. 22 MSU women’s basketball team (7-2 overall) hosted the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies (4-3 overall) at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center. Senior guard Tori Jankoska had a career-high 37 points for the Spartans, who defeated the Grizzlies by a final score of 81-74.

In their fourth game in seven days, the No. 21 MSU women's basketball team took a trip to Western Michigan to play Friday night. In a close game against the Mustangs, senior guards Tori Jankoska and Branndais Agee helped the team inch out Western Michigan in overtime by a final score of 68-64

On Sunday afternoon the No. 24 MSU women’s basketball team played an exhibition game against Northwood University. The Spartans started slowly both offensively and defensively, but were able to pull away with an 82-47 victory with the help of the chemistry of freshman guard Taryn McCutcheon and senior guard Tori Jankoska.
